Officers visit attack victims

July 20, 2016

Immigration officers today visited two of the hospitalised Hong Kong people injured in the German train attack.

Doctors briefed them on the victims' condition and treatment.

The four officers arrived in Frankfurt this morning with the victims' family members.

They will visit the remaining victims in other hospitals and offer assistance.

Liaison is continuing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' office in Hong Kong, the Chinese embassy in Germany, the German embassy in Beijing and other agencies to follow up on the incident.

Hong Kong residents in Germany are advised to watch their personal safety and can call the Immigration Department's 24-hour hotline (852) 1868 for assistance.
