Commissioner of Police Stephen Lo led a delegation to Australia, June 11 to 17, to take part in a policing conference and meet with other law enforcement agencies.
The Pearls in Policing Conference 2016 was held in Sydney, June 11 to 15. Thirty-five law enforcement leaders and academics from 21 locations and four international organisations attended the conference.
Mr Lo discussed counter-terrorism work, cyber crime, law and order, and international co-operation.
He also met with law enforcement chiefs from Australia, New Zealand and Colombia to strengthen co-operation and partnership.
Having reached consensus with Colombian police in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on combating cross-jurisdictional crimes, both forces made a big leap forward in bilateral co-operation.
Mr Lo also visited the Australian Federal Police and Australian Crime Commission in Canberra.
