Customs officers have arrested a beauty parlour owner and two beauticians for contravening the Trade Descriptions Ordinance in the sale of beauty services to a customer.
The beautician used an inferior model of a device to provide beauty treatment, instead of the device it claimed.
Officers yesterday arrested the 32-year-old parlour owner and two beauticians, aged 28 and 41. All were granted bail.
The department's Unfair Trade Practice Investigation Division reminded beauty service traders and beauticians to heed the law and state all information to consumers in a clear and accurate manner.
