Hong Kong and Singapore Police have renewed a Memorandum of Understanding on police co-operation.

Commissioner of Police Stephen Lo and Singapore Police Force Commissioner Hoong Wee-teck signed the pact today in Hong Kong.

The pact covers combating cross-jurisdictional crime and developing Police co-operation between the two organisations.

“Singapore Police Force is a jewel in the crown of our international network. Our two police forces have been enjoying a long, fruitful and mutually beneficial relationship as important strategic partner of each other,” Mr Lo said at the signing ceremony.

Mr Hoong also noted the pact as a special milestone in the relationship between the Hong Kong Police Force and the Singapore Police Force.

The two organisations signed the first co-operation agreement in 2012, which will expire in October. Both sides agreed to renew the pact.
