The Police are well prepared to handle any unlawful acts during protests that may occur when the legislature debates the political reform package.
That was the message from Secretary for Security TK Lai this morning, adding that the force has planned for various scenarios and trained the officers who will be on duty.
He urged protesters, whatever views they hold, to act peacefully and abide by the law.
The expression of opinions and protests must be conducted within the boundaries of the law, Mr Lai stressed.
