Hong Kong is a law-abiding society that does not tolerate violence, Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen says, adding Police will spare no effort investigating criminal cases and the Department of Justice will prosecute if there is sufficient evidence.
Mr Yuen was responding to reporters’ questions today relating to attacks on a media organisation and its founder’s residence. He stressed that a target's social status and political stance does not influence Police investigations and that violence is not tolerated.
He said it is not appropriate to compare present cases involving people from the media with previous ones as each case has its own circumstances.
