Two people were arrested for drug trafficking yesterday after $2.24 million-worth of methamphetamine was found in rice cookers.
Customs officers arrested a 37-year-old woman at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point after they found 5kg of the drug methamphetamine inside rice cookers she was carrying.
Officers also arrested a 59-year-old man in Tsim Sha Tsui suspected of being involved in the case.
Investigations are continuing.
