Police appeal for delivery access

October 03, 2014

Police urge protesters to co-operate with officers at the scene and reopen blocked roads so food and water can be delivered to officers on duty as soon as possible.

Protesters gathering outside the Office of the Chief Executive are seriously blocking the junction of Lung Wo Road and Tim Wa Avenue and have refused to allow Police vehicles to enter Tim Wa Avenue and deliver food and water to Police officers on duty. Protesters also blocked the elevated walkway connecting Harcourt Road and Tim Mei Avenue and refused to let Police officers deliver food and water to fellow officers on duty.

The Police hope to handle the situation in a peaceful manner. The Police negotiation team had been sent to advise protesters to stop blocking roads.
