The Government has lowered the outbound travel alert for Egypt to red in view of the situation there.
It said Hong Kong people should avoid non-essential travel to Egypt, while those already there should monitor the situation, exercise caution, watch their personal safety, and avoid protests and large gatherings. They should avoid all travel to the Sinai Peninsula.
The Security Bureau is monitoring the situation and will issue updates through the media and its website.
