Customs officers have arrested a 47-year-old driver for attempting to smuggle electronics worth $2.3 million at Lok Ma Chau control point.
The undeclared goods included 850 smartphones and 1,970 mobile phone parts.
Officers stopped his truck this morning and found 150 smartphones concealed in five rolls of communication cable, and more smartphones and mobile phone parts in seven cartons mingled with other declared cargo.
