Chief Executive Carrie Lam opened a new carriageway today which will enhance the Kai Tak Development area's connectivity.
At 570 metres, Kai San Road is a major infrastructure work which will serve as the main link between Kai Tak and San Po Kong.
The new road, which connects Concorde Road and Tsat Po Street, will open to traffic at midnight tonight.
Along with various completed pedestrian facilities, the thoroughfare will further connect Kai Tak with its surrounding districts.
The development is an urban infrastructure project which will become Hong Kong's second central business district.
