Senior appointments announced

The Government announced three senior appointments today.

 

Director-General of Communications Eliza Lee will become Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Creative Industries) on August 18.

 

Her post will be filled by Deputy Secretary for Transport & Housing (Housing) and Deputy Director of Housing (Strategy) Agnes Wong on August 15.

 

Deputy Commissioner of Correctional Services Lam Kwok-leung will become Commissioner of Correctional Services from August 21.

 

Secretary for the Civil Service Joshua Law said Miss Lee and Miss Wong are seasoned administrative officers with proven leadership and management skills.

 

He said Mr Lam has 33 years of experience in the Correctional Services Department and possesses extensive knowledge about its operation and human resource management.

 

On the retirement of Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Creative Industries) Susie Ho, Mr Law praised her for her 34 years of loyal and dedicated service to the community.

 

He also applauded retiring Commissioner of Correctional Services Yau Chi-chiu for his work.
