Paul Chan meets Mainland officials

Secretary for Development Paul Chan met Mainland officials responsible for the nation’s development, housing and cultural heritage today.

 

Continuing his Beijing visit, he led a delegation to meet Inspector Ou Xiaoli of the National Development & Reform Commission Department of Western Region Development to discuss the Belt & Road Initiative and Hong Kong’s possible participation in infrastructure projects.

 

They then met with Housing & Urban-Rural Development Vice Minister Yi Jun to discuss the Mainland & Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, the Belt & Road Initiative and reconstruction projects supported by Hong Kong.

 

They also shared preliminary views on preparing the 2017 Mainland & Hong Kong Construction Industry Forum and the 2017 World Sustainable Built Environment Conference to be held in Hong Kong.

 

They later called on Deputy Director-General of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage Liu Shuguang to discuss heritage conservation.

 

Mr Chan will accompany Chief Executive CY Leung to meet more officials tomorrow before returning to Hong Kong.
