Ferry control point to reopen

January 26, 2016

The Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal Control Point will reopen on January 28 to tie in with Hong Kong-Macau and Hong Kong-Mainland passenger ferry services that will start at the terminal on the same day, the Immigration Department announced today.

The control point will be open from 7am to 10pm and will have four conventional immigration counters and three e-Channels at both the arrival and departure halls.

There will also be facilities for eligible Hong Kong and Macau residents to enroll for the Automated Passenger Clearance System for entry to the each other's cities.

Macau residents who lose their travel documents to enter Hong Kong and have no other departure papers can report the loss and present themselves for departure clearance in one go at Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal.

They can also report to the ferry terminals in Sheung Wan or Tsim Sha Tsui.

If a Macau resident has enrolled for the automated clearance service, the Immigration Department, with their written consent, can verify their identity through the checking system. Further verification with Macau authorities would not be needed.

Call the control point at 2824 6111 or the ferry operator at 2859 3333.
