Police and Buildings Department officers today ordered people residing in two workspaces in Tsuen Wan Wing Fung Industrial Building to leave the premises.
The workspaces are not authorised for domestic use.
The officers attempted to close the units today but postponed the order as the occupants have not sought alternative accommodation.
The department said the order will be executed soon, as converting industrial premises for domestic use poses a serious fire risk.
Social workers have visited the units to explain the enforcement action and help occupants find alternative accommodation.
