The Transport Department launched six pilot eTransport Kiosks today for people to access public transport and real-time traffic information at any time.
The kiosks have new features which are not included on the current mobile phone app, or desktop and mobile websites.
Users can set a kiosk's location as the default starting point of their journeys and choose a route for destinations according to the number of transfers, fares, the estimated journey time and preferred type of public transport.
People can also check the real-time traffic situation and find transport facilities in the area, including traffic condition snapshots and videos, the nearest bus stations and bus stops, as well as tourist attractions for the convenience of locals and visitors.
The kiosks can be found in six locations across the city: the Terminal 1 Arrivals Hall at Hong Kong International Airport, the Convention & Exhibition Centre, Yau Lai Shopping Centre, the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, Sha Tin MTR Station and Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange.
