Revitalised cultural heritage, a themed walking trail, waterfront enhancement, and improved connectivity are at the core of an urban renewal plan for Kowloon City.
The Kowloon City District Urban Renewal Forum submitted this plan to the Secretary for Development today.
Forum Chairman Greg Wong said it reflects the community's aspirations for urban renewal, and forum members' consolidated professional views.
The plan results from a planning study and social impact assessment, and two stages of public engagement, from August to September 2012 and from April to June 2013. It sets out social impact mitigation measures, and creates a blueprint of the urban renewal work.
