Secretary for Transport & Housing Prof Anthony Cheung today urged the Mass Transit Railway Corporation to quickly submit its report into yesterday's serious Light Rail Transit accident in Tin Shui Wai, that injured more than 70 people.
 
Speaking to the media after inspecting the scene today, Prof Cheung said the Government is very concerned about the accident, adding that safety is its prime objective.
 
The corporation has launched an investigation, and Prof Cheung asked it to submit its report as soon as possible. He said the Government will study the findings of the investigations being conducted, so improvement measures can be made.
 
The Legislative Council will discuss the accident on May 24.
 
Prof Cheung will visit the six injured passengers who remain in hospital.
