The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload dropped to 236,189 in April, down 0.1% on March, the Social Welfare Department announced today.
The total number of recipients stood at 345,804.
Low-earnings cases fell 1.1% to 5,000 while unemployment cases 0.8% to 13,875.
Ill health cases decreased 0.3% to 24,026 while single parent cases decreased 0.2% to 26,727.
Permanent disability cases dropped 0.1% to 17,401 while old age cases remained steady at 144,755.
