The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring nine newly reported Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia.
The patients are four men and five women aged 56 to 88.
Seven of them are chronically ill.
Two patients have died.
So far 1,888 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 670 deaths.
The centre advises travel agents organising tours to the Middle East not to arrange camel rides and activities involving camel contact, which may increase the risk of infection.
