The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring six Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases, including one death, in Saudi Arabia.
The four men and two women are aged 49 to 85.
So far 1,739 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides and activities involving the animals which may increase the risk of infection.
