The Centre for Health Protection has learned of 11 avian influenza A (H7N9) cases on the Mainland, involving eight men and three women.
The patients are aged 26 to 86. Two are from Auhui, two from Zhejiang, three from Fujian and four from Jiangsu.
Mainland health authorities have reported 758 human H7N9 cases since 2013.
The centre reminded people not to visit live poultry markets and farms and to avoid contact with poultry, birds and their droppings.
