Photo call:  Hong Kong Flower Show 2016 will have "Blossoms in Vivid Art" as its theme.

Hong Kong Flower Show 2016 will open in Victoria Park tomorrow.

The theme of this year's show is "Blossoms in Vivid Art" and Antirrhinum majus, commonly known as the Snapdragon, is the theme flower.

More than 350,000 flowers, including 60,000 pots of Snapdragons, will be on show. Over 200 organisations from 17 countries will display exotic flowers, landscapes and floral art.

One of the highlights of the "Appreciate Hong Kong" Campaign, the show includes a display featuring a wooden set of picture frames complemented with floral decorations for visitors to take photos in.

A garden inspired by the works of 19th century impressionist Claude Monet will be on display as a prelude to the Monet exhibition in May.

Educational and recreational fringe activities, including music and cultural performances, floral art demonstrations, workshops, green stalls, guided visits and fun games, will also be held.

The show is open 9am to 9pm daily until March 20.

Tickets are available at the Leisure & Cultural Services Department's District Leisure Services Offices or at the show's entrance. Octopus cards are welcome.
