The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring a Middle East Respiratory Syndrome case in Thailand.
The patient is a 71-year-old man from Oman who travelled to Bangkok on January 22 and was hospitalised. Contact tracing is underway.
It is the second MERS case in Thailand.
To date, 1,627 MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation, including at least 586 deaths.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides and activities involving the animals which may increase the risk of infection.
