There are adequate opportunities and channels for different stakeholders to express their views on the Medical Council’s composition.
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man made the remark today in response to a possible doctors' strike against the proposed makeup of the council.
He said a Legislative Council bills committee will examine the bill on the Medical Council’s composition and will consider views expressed by stakeholders when the bill is tabled at the Legislative Council.
Regarding the overall influenza situation, Dr Ko said the Government's enhanced vaccine programme has eased the flu threat for this season.
