The Commission on Poverty today continued to discuss the draft consultation document for December's public consultation on retirement protection.
Some members expressed grave concerns over the leakage of the content of the draft consultation document before and after the last meeting, and the disclosure of comments raised by a few specific members at the meeting.
Chairperson Carrie Lam urged all members to respect and comply with the commission's confidentiality agreement.
Members noted that the Secretariat will revise the draft consultation document with reference to the commission’s deliberations, and aim to finalise the text in good time so that the public consultation can be launched as scheduled.
Members will continue to discuss the remaining chapters at the next meeting.
