Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man says the health voucher scheme will be expanded soon to cover HKU-Shenzhen Hospital, benefiting seniors living in Shenzhen.
Dr Ko told reporters today that seniors who have a health voucher account can use it to pay for medical expenses at the hospital.
He added that the Government will monitor the scheme's performance and consider whether to expand it to other Shenzhen medical facilities.
Dr Ko also said he is optimistic that the Government and insurance industry can reach an agreement in the near future on the Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme.
