The monthly ovitrap index for August increased to 7.3% from 6% in July.
The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department said, of the 44 areas surveyed last month, areas recording positive indices had values ranging from 1.8% to 17.9%, with the highest in Yuen Chau Kok.
For port areas, the monthly ovitrap index rose to 2.2% from 1.7% in July.
The ovitrap indices reflect the prevalence of Aedes albopictus, a mosquito vector for Dengue fever transmission.
