The second stage of Kwun Tong Promenade will open tomorrow, allowing the public to enjoy the scenery of Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and Runway Park, and eastern Hong Kong Island.
Part of the Kai Tak Development, the promenade covers 3.4 hectares and will extend the waterfront boardwalk to nearly 1km in length.
To commemorate its history as a cargo handling area in Kwun Tong, artistic models of a mechanical crane and recycled paper bundles have been installed at the site.
The promenade's landscaped area is equipped with active lighting, sound and special mist features to create a surreal effect.
Other facilities include a sensory garden, an elderly fitness corner, a viewing gallery, and a waterfront tree-side walkway.
Located at 178 Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong, the promenade is open around the clock daily.
