Prof Diana Lee will become a new member of the Elderly Commission on April 1.
She will serve for two years and four months.
Prof Lee is Chinese University Faculty of Medicine Assistant Dean and Chair Professor of the university's Nethersole School of Nursing. Her research interests are in the areas of gerontology and community care for the elderly.
Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung welcomed the appointment, adding that he looked forward to Prof Lee's contribution to the development of elderly services in Hong Kong.
Mr Cheung also thanked outgoing member Prof Sylvia Fung for her valuable contribution during her time with the commission.
