The Government has announced the appointment of Lau Ming-wai as Commission on Youth Chairman for a two-year term starting April 1.
Eight new members were also appointed and 10 current members were re-appointed for two-year terms effective April 1.
Mr Lau has taken part in research studies on youth issues and spoken at a number of youth forums.
He is Chairman of Chinese Estates Holdings Limited and is a serving member of the Commission on Poverty and the Commission on Strategic Development. Mr Lau is also Ocean Park's Deputy Chairman of the Board and a member of the City University Council.
He holds a doctorate degree of Philosophy in Law from the University of London. He is also a registered attorney in New York, and a chartered financial analyst.
Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing thanked outgoing chairman Bunny Chan and members for their contribution to the commission's work.
