The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the city's third imported case of avian influenza A (H7N9) this winter, affecting a 61 year-old-man who travelled to Dongguan earlier this month.
So far, 10 of his close contacts have been located and will be placed under quarantine at the Lady MacLehose Holiday Village in Sai Kung, while 16 other contacts have been put under medical surveillance.
The centre is also communicating with Mainland health authorities to follow up on the patient's movements and contacts during his stay on the Mainland.
So far, 13 imported human H7N9 cases have been confirmed in Hong Kong.
