The Department of Health is monitoring five new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia, involving patients aged 34 to 62.
To date, 983 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation globally, including at least 360 deaths.
No human cases of the disease have been recorded in Hong Kong.
