The Centre for Food Safety has found excessive pesticide residue in a sample of green string pod.
The sample was taken for tests under the centre's regular surveillance programme. It is following up on the case.
Based on the level of pesticide residue detected in the samples, food safety officials said they were unlikely to cause adverse health effects under normal consumption.
It reminded people to rinse and soak vegetables before eating them to reduce any pesticides on the surface.
