The Department of Health is monitoring 18 new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia, including four deaths.
The patients, aged 22 to 99, include 11 men and seven women. Three had contact with camels and two had contact with previously confirmed patients.
To date, 927 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation globally, including at least 338 deaths.
The department advises travel agents organising tours to the Middle East not to arrange camel rides or activities involving the animals, which may increase the risk of infection.
