The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 58-year-old man in serious condition.
He fell ill on November 24 and was admitted to a private hospital on the same day. He was transferred to the intensive-care unit today.
Tests revealed he was suffering from Legionnaires' disease.
He had travelled to the Mainland from November 15 to 24.
He is the 36th case reported this year. There were 28 cases both in 2013 and 2012.
