Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man will lead a delegation to the 13th Joint Meeting of Senior Health Officials of the Mainland, Hong Kong & Macau in Anhui's Hefei City on Thursday.
Senior health officials from the three places will discuss and share experiences on public health issues, including measures against emerging communicable diseases, prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, healthcare reform and primary care.
Dr Ko will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony outlining Hong Kong's latest work progress and future plans in the above-mentioned areas.
Hospital Authority Chairman Prof John Leong, Director of Health Dr Constance Chan and Hospital Authority Chief Executive Dr Leung Pak-yin will also attend the meeting.
Dr Ko will return to Hong Kong on November 28.
