The Centre for Food Safety today banned the import of all poultry products, including eggs, from the Netherlands as H5 avian influenza outbreaks were detected in various parts of the country.
The decision was made after Dutch authorities announced another H5 avian influenza outbreak in Overijssel Province.
An import ban on poultry meat and products from South Holland and Utrecht provinces was imposed last week.
Food safety officials will continue to monitor information issued by the World Organisation for Animal Health about the outbreaks and on the country's latest situation.
