Three fresh water cooling towers have been found to have Legionella bacteria at or above the accepted limit, the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department announced.
The department tested 75 water samples collected from cooling towers in 72 buildings in October.
Three samples contained bacteria counts at or above the upper threshold of 1,000 colony-forming units per millilitre.
They were from Tai Hang Building in Yuen Long, 254-260, 262-268 Lockhart Road in Wan Chai and Wing Kai Building in Sham Shui Po.
All three were disinfected after the department issued nuisance notices.
