The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease that has left a 57-year-old man in critical condition.
He fell ill with a fever and cough on September 5 and was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital the following day.
Tests revealed that he was suffering from Legionnaire's disease - a form of pneumonia caused by a bacteria.
This is the 30th case of the disease reported to health authorities this year. There were 28 cases both in 2012 and 2013.
