The Centre for Health Protection today confirmed a case of New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase-1 (NDM-1) Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae in a 65-year-old man.
The patient, with underlying illness, had been hospitalised in the Mainland from July 21 to August 17.
He was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital with dizziness on August 18, and tested positive for NDM-1.
He is currently stable, and his family contacts have no symptoms.
