Man treated for Legionnaires' disease

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 57-year-old man.

 

He fell ill on July 18 and was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital on July 21.

 

His clinical diagnosis was pneumonia and he is now stable.
 

He tested positive for Legionella bacteria.

 

He had no recent travel history and his home contacts are asymptomatic.
