The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload in June stood at 257,214, with a total of 392,600 recipients, down 0.3% on the previous month, the Social Welfare Department said today.
Low-earnings cases and unemployment cases registered month-to-month decreases of 1.5% and 1% to 8,281 and 19,891 cases.
Old-age cases dropped 0.3% to 150,020.
Permanent-disability cases remained steady at 18,382, while ill-health cases and single-parent cases both increased 0.3% to 25,126 and 30,192 cases.
