The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a fatal paediatric enterovirus infection case involving a two-year-old Shenzhen girl.
She fell ill on July 1 and was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on July 4. She died the next day.
She tested positive for enterovirus.
Her home contacts are asymptomatic.
The case has been referred to the Coroner.
