Health hazard:  Unregistered pharmaceutical product Latisse eye-drops has been found for sale in two retail shops.

Woman arrested for unregistered drug

February 06, 2014

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman today for illegally selling an unregistered eye-drops product called Latisse, containing a Part I poison.

It was being sold in two cosmetic shops in Causeway Bay and Kwun Tong with no Hong Kong registration number on the label.

The Department of Health found the product contained bimatoprost, a prescription medicine.

Anyone who bought the product should stop using it immediately and consult a doctor if they feel unwell.
