Suspected Mid-East syndrome case reported

The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring a suspected case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome affecting a 20-year-old man.
He fell ill yesterday and went to Queen Mary Hospital. He is stable.
He returned from the UK on August 23, transiting in Qatar.
He had no contact with animals or patients during the visit.
His respiratory specimens will be taken for tests.
No human infection with this virus has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
