The "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign theme song was launched today, sung by two of the city's biggest pop stars - Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan.
Sail On is a modern take on the classic
Below the Lion Rock, featuring a new score composed by Eric Kwok and lyrics by Abrahim Chan.
The original song was chosen for its spirit of perseverance, mutual help and care, while the new twist symbolises Hong Kong moving forward, innovating and growing while keeping sight of its core values.
Chief Secretary Carrie Lam launched the citywide public participation campaign on April 23, and it will run until year's end, injecting positive energy into the community, fostering social cohesion, and promoting care, mutual help and solidarity.
The Government will provide a platform for enhanced publicity of events that engage a wide cross-section of the community and showcase Hong Kong as a liveable and enjoyable city, and instil a sense of social pride and belonging.
