4 Mainland H7N9 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection verified with the National Health & Family Planning Commission today one human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Jiangsu and three in Zhejiang.
   
The Jiangsu case involves a 54-year-old man who is receiving treatment in hospital. His condition is critical. His four close contacts are normal. 
 
The three cases in Zhejiang involve a 66-year-old woman and two men aged 43 and 48. They are receiving treatment in hospital and their condition is serious.
 
As of 9pm today, a total of 91 cases have been laboratory confirmed with avian influenza A(H7N9) in Shanghai (32 cases), Zhejiang (30 cases), Jiangsu (22 cases), Anhui (three cases), Henan (three cases) and Beijing (one case).
 
No human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
