The Department of Health has urged the public not to use Aisiyuan V26 Coffee Slimming granules, as they may contain hazardous undeclared and banned drug ingredients.
 
The appeal was made today after a 42-year-old woman who had been consuming the product was admitted to Caritas Medical Centre on April 8 for unconsciousness. She tested positive for sibutramine metabolites.
 
Sibutramine is a Part I poison and was banned in 2010 due to cardiovascular risk.
 
The product was bought online.
 
She was discharged yesterday.
