2 H7 cases test negative

The Centre for Health Protection has been notified of two cases not fulfilling reporting criteria of suspected human cases of Influenza A (H7), both of which tested negative.
 
The cases not fulfilling reporting criteria involve an 11-year-old girl who tested positive for H1. She is in Tuen Mun Hospital and her condition is stable. The other case involves a three-year-old boy. He is in Prince of Wales Hospital and he is stable.
 
The update covers the 24-hour period starting at noon on April 16.
 
Since March 31, the centre has received 11 notifications of cases fulfilling the reporting criteria, and 33 which did not.
 
No confirmed human cases of the virus have yet been recorded in Hong Kong.
